Another cracked vine on the Stidwill. This is about 5 feet after the pollination of July 3rd. This plant is killing me. It is a vigorous grower. Both the male and female flowers are the biggest I've seen, but this trait is discouraging, to say the least. This makes the fourth cracked vine, all of them coming around pollination time. I was able to pollinte another female on this plant at the 18 foot mark, a beautiful large 5 lober, but I don't hold much hope for it's growth because the vine feeding it has a transverse crack involving about 1/6th it's circumference. I'll let it grow some to compare growth and cull my slowest growers in a few weeks.
