Today my pumpkin plant is just about at 8 feet long and the largest secondary is about three feet. It is looking ok despite being damaged it does wilt in the heat however. So I still might cut it off. I noticed a small female bud at the tip of the main vine about 8 feet out. I hope I can pollinate in a few weeks. If another bud appears a little farther out I'll pollinate that one instead. I'm hoping to get a pumpkin pollinated on the main vine about 10 to 14 feet from the stump. I guess I'll wait and see. I hope my season keeps going as great as it has been.
