good news and bad news. good news is the 1306 at 14'opened this morning and was pollinated with five flowers from the 1446. the 1446 pumpkin is 5 days old and has laid down nicely. bad news, the 997 at 12' didn't take. the next one down the line at 15' was a deformed 4 lober with one segment stunted and small and also seeds in the blossum. it was pinched. the 1041 at 15' should open monday or tuesday and the 997 at 17' should open also monday or tuesday. the 1446 second female will be open pollinated tomorrow as i will be on lake michigan fishing by 5 am. i will add more pollen to make sure at noon when i get home. hopefully the 13' 5 days old will be the keeper and i don't even need the open pollinated female.
