started out my fungicide program tonight now that getting hot and sticky again in illinois. it was that time of the year anyways. used eagle above and below all leaves. added more mister points now that the plants are getting bigger. will be misting tomorrow with 90 temps after a 75 degree cloudy rain day today. got over a 1/3 of an inch which was nice. got the electric cord out to the 997 for the fan and ice bottle set up after pollinating in the morning. gonna go with the 1306 as i have 4 males covered and ready for the morning. got some tea brewing for tomorrow night. my schedules are now set with fungicide wed. nites, insecticides sunday nights, and tea foliar thursday nights. going on a perch charter on lake michigan sunday morning. gotta leave at 3:30 am as the boat goes at at 5. got my first 1306 pollination coming about that time. hopefully it will be sat am, or monday am. otherwise i am going to have to have a friend do it for me. either that or i do an early morning force open. i have read others have done this in the past. i am hoping the heat and rain will speed it up to saturday.
