The 824 Brunst* is a goner. The growing tip on the main got ripped off. This plant also got ripped out of the ground and thrashed about which saved most of the leaves. It lost about 25% of the leaves but no secondaries. I have a squash ready to pollinate just three inches in front of where the main broke off (not really far enough out) so I hope that one takes. I'll train a secondary to become the new main.
A few giant cabbages also took a beating. About 50% of the leaves are gone on two of those. About 75% of the leaves on the sunflowers (including my tallest one) got ripped off.
This is the third year in a row I more or less lost all of my outside plants. I wonder why I keep trying it?
