here is a look at the entire patch, all four plants with the 997 in front running left, the 1306 next running right, the 1041 running left and the 1446 in the back running right. the 997 4 lobe symetrical female at 12' was pollinated this am with 2 males from the 1446. it opened at 6:17. this is good cuz i think monday i will pollinate the 1446 at 13' and still make it to work on time. if i am late, so be it. maybe it will open tuesday, but i am getting better at knowing the shape and color of the females petals to guess 3 days prior to the opening day and plan accordingly. my bet looking today the 1446 will open monday. i plan on selfing it cuz the 1041 is a nice plant, but not that strong on throwing out its secondaries and is still the slowest of all plants. i will go with what ever is available though and will go with self, 997, 1306 and 1041 in that order if i have my choice. got another chair over the next female in line on the 997 which is at 15' and will be open in about 5 to 6 days. the misters were on in this pic. i have a 4' rain tower sprinkler you can see on one side up front, another 4' rain tower in the back left corner, and a six footer in the center. i run the back right one first at 5 am for 30 minutes since it is only a quarter turn. the one up front in this pic is almost a half turn and i switch hoses at the spicket and run for 45 minutes from 5:30 to 6:15 am. then right before leaving for work i set the timer for 60 minutes for the center tower that over laps the other 2 patterns and goes a full 360 degrees without back clicking. this covers the patch nicely and i water every 2 days unless it rains. if hotter i will adjust, and if i need to mist also, i have to get up early and move the whole cycle back an hour so i can connect the misting set up hose to the spicket with the timer. compost tea went on the plants wednesday and tonight i will hit them with talstar one tonight with all the new growth since spraying friday of last week.
