The 998 has 8 good sets of side vines behind the first developeing female. I suspect that this flower will open in about 5-7 days. More males opening daley on this plant.
The 1041 McKie only has about 6 sets of side vines behind the first developeing female, however this female will likly open before the one on the 998 and is likely too early and too close.
I set up three Wizzer sprinkler nozzels and applied 30 gals of compost tea through them on Monday night. I'm still using the manure compost as I haven't got worm castings yet. I am using a 1/2 hp sprinkler jet pump to apply the tea. I'm a little dissapoited in the coverage area with the three nozzels. I amy have to buy more!
Its been cooler here again the last couple nights, getting down to 10C last night. The plants are a little pale green and the leaves are not as large as I would like. We had 3/10" of rain yesterday. This will help to activate the AMS applied yesterday.
