Well the storms came through last night,(3 times).Over 2 inches of rain again. The whole state of Iowa is flooding I think. All rivers are at record levels and I mean record like 10 feet plus over record.
There was hail the size of eggs just 5 miles away and a funnel cloud reported just a few miles away.We missed the large hail but got penny sized hail. The tarp was over the 1207 but still got hit 4 to 5 times. The plants have holes in the leaves and a few hole in the stems but not as bad as it could have. Not having the plastic on the hoop is killing me. We have several pumpkins set on the 1566 plant (2 on the Main). They are all long stemmed and white colored. The 963 Paton is also white colored and 21 inches day 10.
