Last night I applied my first batch of tea. I sprayed about 15 gals over the whole patch, with a extra heavy application on and around the plants. I then drenched each plant with about 4L (1 gal) each. I even had enough left over to water moms flowers!

After the tea application, I closed the hoops and sprayed Roundup over the entire patch.

This morning I removed all the plastic from the hoops and replaced the blue tarp shade structures over the growing points.

The 998 Pukos has well over a 5' main now, followed closely by the 1041 McKie, the 943 Vincent-McGill and the 1055 Pitura. The 824 Brunst would be in 6th place with about a 2 ft main and bringing up the rear is the 772 Poirier. I am a little dissapointed with this plant so far. It just lacks vigor. The main is still up in the air at about 12". Hopefully it will kick in to gear soon.

It is still very hot and humid. They are calling for thunder storms all day. Then cooler tomorrow.
