Well, summer's almost here and I still have no pumpkins. I usually have a plant with an eight foot vine by now. But I big storm came through a couple of weeks ago and took my pumpkin plant. It ripped it right out of the soil and I didn't find it, so I started a new seed. I'll find out the exact name, but I know the seed was from a 1000+ pounder. I started it by the direct seeding method and it now has one leaf and is working on it's second. I really hope this one grows because I can't have another set back. I guess I'll put it in the patch this weekend and see what happens.
