13 May, 2200 hours, 41 degrees, put hot water bottles under cold frames, tmeps are dropping.
14 May, 0100 hours, 38 degrees, get out of bed, get hot water bottles, fill em up again, put em back out.
14 May, 0600, 36 degrees, rush out to the patch, FROST. lift up a cold frame, whew, the plants have survived! I win round 1. Expecting same evening weather for the next two days.
14 May, 0630, over a nice hot cup of coffee Martina suggests I take care of her as much as I do the pumpkin plants. I say that if she could give birth to a 800 pound pumpkin I would. She predicts that the plants are not the only thing that will get cold tonight.
