Finally transplanted to the patch today. Lots of delays this year but after record heat yesterday the soil should be warm and when cloches go up tomorrow they'll be just in time for the return of rain and cool temps until next weekend. Catherine and Molly each have a plant this year and Dad has four. Catherine has the 474 Michalec 05, Molly the 525 Michalec 05, I have the 716 Michalec 05*, 1033 Emmons, 1024 Mombert and 1061 Pukos. There are two other squash that have not germinated yet. If they do one may get a small area to be grown as a pollinator, but otherwise I'll be fine without them. This season should be good for my continued genetics play with a continued line breeding of sorts with the 846 Calai and the 1074 Calai lines. It's late, but better late than never. More work ahead this week.
