In the greenhouses I have 3 rings like such which water the stump area. The stump need drip lines because I bury it and the last thing I want is to get it wet and have rot problems.

Each ring has 7 x 1 GPH emitters (5 around the ring and 2 which go right to the seedling). These run for 15 minutes in the morning. I may change the timing after some tweaking to see what is best.
