A bit of frustration and disappointment today. It's been 3 1/2 weeks since I sent my soil sample in to UNH and I hadn't heard back, so I called them. They didn't have any record of recieving my soil sample, although they did remember a soil sample without paperwork...apparently putting the paperwork in an envelope on the outside of the box is no guarantee that they will notice it. They are going to check to see if they can find the box with the paperwork and match it up with the rogue soil sample, but even then, it won't be processed for 10-14 days (has to be sent to PA). I'm hoping to plant outside in 1 1/2 weeks, so this won't help me in balancing my soil before the beginning of the season. Frustrating... Maybe I should switch over to UMass for soil testing? I'm hoping my soil hasn't drifted too much...I'm leaning towards adding some muriate of potash and calcium nitrate this weekend, but it's a blind addition. On a brighter note, I've transplanted my 4 plants (all have broken the soil surface) into larger pots and they are all under grow lights with a heating mat underneath. I plan on putting them into my warm frame in a week or so, depending on their growth.
