This is a picture of the 1096. I have had a hard time sprouting it. I started it on April 13th the same day and the same preparation that I did for the 1402. It had not sprouted by the 17th so I was in panic mode. On the 17th I filed the edges to try to get more moisture to penetrate the seed. Still nothing. On the 18th I pulled off one side of the shell as you can see in the picture below. This afternoon when I checked on it again it had finally sprouted! I planted it in seed starting mix with some myco. I hope it makes it!
