seeds are soaking and will be put in their pots this afternoon. my basement germination room has the space heaters going set at 85 degrees. the grow mat with thermostat is set at 85 degrees as well and the temperature sensor will be placed at seed level in one of the pots. this combo of 85 degrees below the pots as well as 85 degree air temp has given me the most consistent 85 degree temps in the pots at all time. a thermometer will be placed at seed level in 2 pots just so i can monitor exact temps at seed level. the patch is done in each growing area except a last shot of molasses, seaweed, and agro k nutrients before transplanting the plants in the patch. increased 2 planting spots to 600 sq ft and will have 2 spots with 400 sq ft. this fills up the entire patch. the only other patch work to be done is to place 6 more yards of compost around the outside edges of the patch with some gypsum as well. the 15 yards i placed already in the center of the patch has the soil looking great. if any of my main line up plants do not germinate, i will be starting some other proven seeds in 5 days. if all goes well, the line up is the same as mentioned in the above post.
