Well we figured today being tax day was as good as any other day to start our great giant pumpkin adventure. My fiance and I are already super excited about giving this a go and adding to our collection of gardening thrills. We have to admit that it was a little nerve wracking going through all the seeds that folks sent us and selecting the ones we wanted to try this year. Big things go out to you folks that sent us seeds, you know who you are. You are really the reason we wanted to start a growers diary. We'd love for you guys to see the progress of your generosity. My future mother in law selected a few seeds as well to try so we should be able to track them all on here as well. We weren't smart enough to take a few pictures of our set up here for this post but we'll try and do it for the next. Maybe that will give some of you a chance to let me know what I'm doing right/wrong. We are very thankful to all the advice we've gotten off of bp.com these past few months and we'll try and take it all to heart and use it, but we know this is a learning process and we're sure we'll run across some glitches this year that we'll have to try and do better next year. But you have to start somewhere right? So the picture we did supply is the view my future pumpkins will have from the garden while they are growing. Pretty nice eh? They will definately be set in a place of beauty. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and the climate wont treat them too badly. That picture was taken last June... right now there is still about 8ft of snow on the peak. So put your blessings upon us and we'll try and do our best. Thanks Again!
