My 434 Gerhardt also continues with the slow growth. Day 42, 111-79-76, 266 OTT = 403 lbs. Gained 22 lbs. in 2 days. This one should give me an official PB at least and if it makes it to 500 lbs, stands a good chance of winning best in show in my opinion. I delivered 1/2 cup of Neptunes fish/seaweed to the plant today- the first fertilizer it has had in weeks and only the second since pollination. You can see that my patch is pretty much going downhill fast due to PM. I got another spray of daconil on the plants today. For the record my 423 Gerhardt is 96-63-66, 225 OTT = 249 lbs. and nice color. The patch is really starting to draw a neighborhood crowd with the big ones looking like fat white ghosts under their sheets and another 8 pumpkins all 150-200 lbs getting nice and orange. "what do you do with all those things?" Umm.. I don't know, carve them up I guess. It's the journey, not the destination.
