This picture is a little misleading but you get the idea. I didn't measure this week but I am sure it is still growing. Will it last 3 weeks? Doubtful. Losing it's shape a little as the lobes become more pronounced but it is still a pretty one for sure. I'm going to email this pic to the Fair so they know what they missed out on. The two on the 1230 plant are ~100lbs each now. I'm sticking to my gameplan to the end of the year- no ferts, no water except rain, full sun and no shade structure. I never thought getting it weighed would be harder than growing it but that's the case right now. I am once again hoping to hit my 600lb mark. I think if I was to flip this fruit onto its blossom end and take an ott the tape would be much different. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed I guess. Dave built an awesome lifting tarp, 8 ply and ropes with handles for 8 people. It's very impressive. I hope we get to use it.
