Yesterday’s crosses: 781 x 603 main vine#1; 781 x 603 main vine#2 (both five lobes) Today’s crosses: 781 x 603 about 18 inches further than yesterday on main vine#2 (4 lobes), 1230 x 603 main vine (4 lobes), 603 x self on secondary (5 lobes) 669 x 603 main vine (4 lobes). I hope these take. The animal ate the main off the 317 again and the 1230 main broke at about 20 feet so that is it! I have managed to lose all my mains at least once except on my squash. I am going to hold off fertilizing the 781 and 1230 since they’re big plants but I have got to get the vines going again on the others. I’m getting some yellowing on the leaves on the 603 and 317 and the vines are stalling out. I’m sure I need much more leaves to push a big fruit on either of these plants. I got Triazicide yesterday, and will spray today or tomorrow under the leaves and direct to the leaf nodes.
