The bugs that I have are Wheel Bugs, otherwise known as Assassin bugs. They are beneficial bugs that eat aphids and other nasty stuff. The bug I thought was a squash bug I beleive was a mature wheel bug, it is grey and has a distictive wheel that looks like a gear on it's back. The nymphs are black head with bright red back, with the wheel shape on the back and six legs. They have sharp pincers for impaling other nasty insects. So, my arsenal of good bugs includes praying mantises, wheel bugs, lady bugs and dragon flies. Go team!
