The in the last few weeks all the plants have been growing ok with the 998 Pukos just a little behind as it was planted late.We now have set back number two which this time is very disappointing. Our 1354 Checkon has developed a fasciation ( it’s a mutation , in this case I think of the apical meristem ) and will have to be taken out. It’s real shame because both set backs are not down to poor growing and we will need to work out a new set of crosses. I hope our luck changes soon and we don’t have any more set backs until we pollinate which is when you tend to expect things to go pear shaped .
