First female of the year! 10 foot out on the 753 Lloyd, pegged and ready! Not planning on keeping this one, 2 more are lined up on the main. Another will open at 8 foot on the 1097.5 Beachy. 2 males from each also pegged. Weather has been very hot, 2 days at 95+F. Got a lot of leaf burn on the 753, a little less on the 1097, virtually none on the monster 1260! Misting system has been upgraded, will be able to reduce damage in future. Had another close call with hail, but did get a lot of wind damage, plants look a bit beaten up, folded leaves and a few leaves flattened. Used bamboo to put them back into the canopy. The 753 Lloyd is the biggest plant, and perfectly healthy! Main vine out about 15 foot. Will run the main on the grass and should be able to get 500sqft leaf area, with 350sqft buried. The 1097.5 Beachy is growing great. I did accidently split the main slightly at about 10 foot out. It should heal up fine, maybe it will be enough damage to avoid splitting the keeper.....lol.(But not a laughing matter when I heard the crack!) The secondary's are flying, smaller leaves though but screaming. The main is out 12 foot now, wants to grow up a little too much..... The 1260.4 Weir is reminding of the movie, "The Little Shop Of Horrors", lol. Its a beast, leaves on the main are 27", secondarys are as thick as the other plants main. Its a beast! Secondarys are spreading now, almost slithering out onto the ground! Very, very easy to train. Main vine guess would be about 11 foot long. Only one female spotted on the plant so far a week or so away. Have a feeling about this plant......
