Main vine squirrel damage. I managed to trap and "relocate" one of the rodents but there are lots lined up to take its place. I've grown pumpkins in this patch for 5 years and never had any squirrel damage before. I guess they have aquired a taste for something in the stems/vines.

I've placed water dishes, there is plenty of food available, they just have learned this new trick. Its not just 1 of them, but a bunch that are doing this now.

Off to Canadian Tire to buy a CO2 powered pellet gun with scope and lazer aim.

The plant and vines have have received so much damage that I fear my pumpkins won't put on the weight I was hoping for this month...........I hate squirrels now!!
