I've been nursing this stem split on the 826.5 for a couple of weeks and now after a few days of heavy rains, it appears to go into the cavity. It all but stopped growing over the past few days and I fear it is toast!! I've packed it the best I can and will monitor it for a few days before deciding what to do.
The 803 continues to pack it on a a pretty good rate and I'm very pleased with its progress.
