All fall cover crops I planted in August, including daikon, turnip, triticale, buck wheat, mustard, and hairy vetch, did exceptionally well and were mowed and turned under on 10/19.
I noticed my piles of leaf mold had massive heat, turning these piles into my plots.
I now planted late-fall and early-winter rye, daikon radish, and crimson clover. I previously amended my soil with decomposing arborist chips, gypsum, blood meal, and bone meal. We'll check back next week after a few rounds of showers move through my area with some really mild fall weather.
