The 5 Giant Field Pumpkin plants are growing like wildfire, inspite of the 97F record heat forcast for today in Sharon, MA. And the midseason diluted Oxidate 5.0 Drip Drench did not hurt the plants. I would never spray it on the leaves though.
I added biologicals and Biomin Iron 3 days after the Oxidate to help rejuvinate the soil. Main vines are are about 16 ft. I plan to pollinate in early August. Hopefully only a few have BES (blossom end splits) occur and I get a few to the scales.
