Unfortunately, the "first truss effort" I made must now be followed by a "tomatoes for weigh off" effort. It would be just the right amount of work if I could call it good and quit right now rather than trudging any further.
Enough of my complaints. Back to business.
These plants were neglected while I worked on the other plants, yet I've been slowly gearing these up for the final attempts of the season. These are mostly 6.02 LaRue's, and so far this seed has been superb. 10 plants or so here. Just wanted to give a preview of this final tomato effort. Today is DAP 1 for the mega in the pic. All 3 significant megas are on 6.02 La Rue plants. There are two of my seeds here (8.68 and a 5.04?) and a 10.46 LaRue but none of them have anything comparable.
There is some confusion because Jack weighed two 6.02 LaRue's and one was very nice like a supermarket tomato while the other was lumpy and gnarled. My memory of it was that the nicer tomato was off his 7.94 seed but the tomato giantstogrow website has a pic of the nicer one and says it was off the 5.71 Marley. So... yeah.
