Its difficult to see, but I am using a lot of dirt to buttress the pumpkin, the dirt goes all the way around it. This could be a mistake, but its now or never. It is close to 100 lbs and very soft skinned, so all of it is mostly beyond my control now.
In hindsight, a bigger access hole under (and through) the pallet (airflow under the pumpkin) and maybe a thin layer of sand, (a flatter bottom) would be better than all this dirt. Or maybe use the mill fabric, idk. There's a lot I really don't know, but I do know dirt has worked in the past.
