I was just looking at Erik Gunstrom's diary (pumpkinPicker). Here is what he had to say in his early september entry.
"I have always grown for ORANGE since I started growing a long long time ago knowing the really big ones are hard to get when you grow for orange. But the past 3 or 4 years we have seen a orange revolution taking place in the pumpkin growing community in which the genetics are now capable of throwing a brilliant orange world record again!"
I feel the same way, I never thought this would happen but low and behold it definitely has happened
