As with pumpkins, at DAP 0 maybe its hard to know what you're really getting with long gourds... pumpkins mostly start the same shape, round or oval until DAP 15 or so, but then a lot of differences in shape begin to appear. Maybe culling long gourds at pollination is too way too early. The one I pollinated last weekend is 15". Let me see how many DAP that is... well tonight will be exactly 7 DAP and it will probably be over 16". I dont know if thats good or not. I'll post the exact figure tonight, for future reference.
