1046 Connolly is officially dead. (Sad because it was a beautiful looking pumpkin that was growing really fast) It seems to have became rotten from the inside. The plant, vines, roots, stump, stem and blossom were all in absolutely perfect condition. It stopped growing at DAP 35 for an UOW of 707# from my floor scale. It has stayed the same weight for the last 10 days on the scale so today I cut it off the plant and threw it in the yard for the kids to color and carve it. In about a week I’ll dump it in the woods for the deer.
Only 2 pumpkins left in the patch; (2218 Cardenas & 2030 Kisamore), 1- 330Vial watermelon, and some tall sunflowers that are growing nicely.
