Went to Maplewood Farm (home of the North Shore News Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off) to check on the seeds that I have germinating in the greenhouse. With so much interest last year, I needed alot more space than I have at home to germinate seeds and grow the seedlings for the give-away. I was a little surprised to see the 577.5 and 511 Dixon '03 and the 411 Perrault '03 seeds were the first to pop up but the 310 Marining '04 seeds are also now showing some life.
The majority of the give-away seedlings will be from the 310 Marining (a selfed 689.5 Sandercock)which should throw nice large orange fruit for all the first time growers.
