Spent the weekend bending this main vine just under 90 degree and clearing this space for the pumpkin. Main vine used to come straight out through the middle of the void.
Had to uproot about 5 nodes, and another 6 weren't buried yet. This vine grew fast during the busy work week, last of the month!
Also removed a bunch tertiary vine growth from the patch to the left that I left in place at 2 other potential pumpkins. both aborted.
In total, at least 20 ft in vine removed? it looks a lot cleaner. Was getting too packed. Plan to move the shade covering over to the new growth / main vine and monitor / mist the middle patch.
