The 1407 Jutras squash is at day ten today, and doing very good. I have a twin in the background, pollinated the same day. It is just a tiny bit smaller than the chosen one. That one has a stem split that is perpendicular to the stem, right at the stem / vine junction, so i chose the other one. The one that has the mill fabric also has stem splits , but the y run parallel with the long stem. One split on top and one on the bottom. They are healing as it is growing, but i must keep an eye on them that the pumpkin does not start to split. I will cut the back up off in a few days.
