Finally got all the giant pumpkins planted outside May 14. It snowed on May 9, and because of the delay planting outside my transplants are probably bigger than ever before. I don’t have electricity in the patch this year so no heating cables but I did switch the clear plastic this year over the black and that seems to have made a huge difference in soil temperatures. As a result I hope I’m right on schedule for a big one. Here is the 1613.5 McCracken
