Heating Cable Found!
The selected planting site was carefully dug out and one section of heating cable was discovered. This also shows the depth the cables are placed and the drip tapes are also moved to a greater spacing to avoid soaking the area which will only increase the odds of rot at the all important crown region of the plant.
Having the heating cable come in contact with the roots should not pose a problem since the thermostat is working properly to keep the temperature right around that 70F point. However, it is good to know the root zone will be at a favorable temperature for plant growth.
