Have decided to grow this year with a line-up of all squash and crosses. Started the last seeds early that I had of some old dark green genetics. The 959 Platte 09 and 611.4 Gadberry 05 did not pop. Replaced them with 611.4 and 604.5. Got 2 of the 528 Gadberry 12 (1610 Lieber x 834* Gadberry) to sprout. I'll stick both in the same plot and keep the darkest female producer. Pulled out an old one of mine that has always produced way heavy fruit and got a couple to pop, 604.5 Cantrell 11 (1020.5* Jutras 09 x 1161 Rodonis 07 (clone)). The clone was from the plant that grew the 1725 Sweet. Again looking for the darkest producer. Last of the pumpkin producers will be 444 Cantrell 19(est) (2469 Daletas X 2118* Jutras). Squash will be 400 Cantrell 19 (est) (760 Cantrell x self), 694 Cantrell 19 (est) (1047 Barlow x 2118 Jutras) and 655 Cantrell 17 (1445.5 Jutras x 1844.5 Holub). Going with smaller plants of 600 square feet with hopes I can give them better care.
