Had a larger pumpkin go lighter than the one I took to the fair. Took Brian's lunch money though so that was good:) I know he is capable of beating me but he is totally gracious he is a great example of not getting totally burned out by competitiveness, if I may say so.

First frost tonight. Sept. was mild but poor... until the last week which has felt wintery and put snow on the upper third of the mountains already. So looks like we will go from spring back to winter... skipped two seasons this year.
Ornamental corn was a blast! I did the green corn from the seed exchange another tray was gem and other types it turned out beautiful. I was worried the different varieties would tassle at different times or the colors would not blend in a nice way and thus get poor results but the results were good.
