Nice little 4 lobe flower opened this morning with the encouragement of some sun. Harvest time for the other pumpkin in a few days. I’m going to have to cut and load for the Vancouver Weighoff at Krause Berry Farm a few sooner than anticipated due to rains that are coming that could stop me from getting in and out of the patch. I’ve bought a bunch of 1” plywood’s d and have a sufficient “driveway” that I can use, even if we have to use a pallet jack first to move to the truck.

So I’m in Windsor Plywood, talking with the guy and of course he asks “what are you building?” Answer “a pathway to my pumpkin patch”, he says “oh my Dad used to grow giant pumpkins” Long story short, those of you that remember IslandOrange aka Craig Sandvic, it was his son at the desk. When Craig gave up growing, he gave me his lifting tarp and lifting ring, the same lifting ring I’ve been using ever since, and the lifting ring we’ve used at all our Weighoffs. Small, small world!
