My planned budget garden from a different angle. I have not mowed it for two months. So far I have had two growers email me with suggestions how to maximize my low budget. Thanks guys, first year with a budget of $120 I think $13 (that is tax included)for 7 ft tall 100 ft long deer netting will be cheapest effective solution to my most critical critter problem. Will have to come up with some cheap posts. The suggestion for leaf compost is great too. Fall leaf dropping is coming. I am thinking about asking my coworkers to fill my truck with leaves everyday. What they need to get rid of is what I need the most. This is my test. Most new growers do not start with ideal soil. And if someone was living on social security could they eventually grow something mid level competitive. I think they can..just not in one year. This patch will be visible from my office window..i better put a pretty seed here.
