Day 45 for the 919 Holland, and its still growing 19 a day over the last 3. Holding together so far, but some of the rib creases are looking ominous! Barely a tear on the fruit, just roughening up. Showing the a few patches of pink. The vine is laying on the ground with both shoulders touching it. Managed to loosen it again by digging underneath, and it can grow some more! Left the 77" shock absorber on, as its barely growing being attached by a tenth of a stem...
Day 45 Measure:
Circ 150", SS 102", EE 92", OTT 344" and EST at 833 pounds!!!
Fruit on the 950.4 Boyton went down today, due to mice. Rolled it over and found the nest. Recovered about 400 nice big seeds. It measured 91/56/55, 202ott so seeds will be called 177 est Boyton 2005(950.4 Boyton x open)
Fruit on the 960 LaRue went down also. No growth on the 1036 Perez and 711.5 Handy, I suspect mice again...... Didn't get time to measure the rest, as the sun went down. It hit 112F at Castlereagh today, too hot to get decent growth! Colin put on the sprinklers during the hottest part, ground is nice and moist!
