Got my whole pumpkin patch roto-tilled. Soil sample was sent out last week. Whole patch is 11,500 sq.ft. Going to make the whole patch smaller. I’ll still be able to rotate each growing season. Going with less plants to focus more on my plants. Some of the sides of the patch will be turned back into lawn. I’ll end up with 4,350 sq. ft. for each growing season. Which will give me a little over 1,000 sq. ft. per plant. I’ll plant pumpkins in the back part of the patch this year. The front patch will be for growing pumpkins in 2020. This year the front patch will be planted with a manure crop of oats then tilled under. Then I’ll plant a crop of alfalfa.
