Vermont weigh off went smoothly yesterday with great weather and great competitors. I want to highlight a couple of stories that were important to us all.
This is Gail Strange at the scale with her late husband Mike’s new personal best pumpkin. Before Mike passed he started seeds for this year. Gail wanted to keep his growing legacy this summer and along with Mike’s long time friend Peter Jones was able to get this seed from Mike’s hands to this new personal best which is listed in the GPC results in Mike’s name.
Very sad but wonderful time with not many dry eyes to be found.
