Had an awesome time at the Roland Pumpkin Fair Patch Tour Today!
In 1976, Edgar Van Wyck, a long time giant pumpkin grower from Roland, grew the world's largest pumpkin at 423 pounds and earned himself a page in the Guinness Book of Records. He also grew a 560 pound pumpkin in 1986. In 1990, they built a giant fiberglass pumpkin at the town's entrance in his honor.
