I built a greenhouse last week over the plant with my most promising pumpkin of this season to fight against the cold temps. The average low at night for this time of the season is 12 C (54 F).
It doesn't cover the whole plant, but a good chunk of it. Better than nothing. I got two 1500 W heaters in there as well as a Mr. Heater Big Buddy propane heater. It can do 4000, 9000, or 18000 BTU per hour. It also automatically turns off if it detects that the oxygen level around it is low.
