Just another day in the melon Patch. For a few years now I've read and experimented with some pretty loose methods of growing better root systems more importantly plant health that leads to better and longer plant & fruit life. By now I feel I have positively reached the point of not knowing anything that I've done has helped or even affected anything I've grown.....maybe. I am getting tons of both sexed blooms and double melons at leaf node junctions, large sets of tap roots from the tops of my melon vines rather than just the sides or bottoms. Top tap roots are coming out even if the vines are in the air...and this all may be perfectly normal and well, thee amount of them are truly baffling, lol. I'm actually introducing Iodine into my tea brew as to combat ROS. The Island of Dr. Moreau, lol
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are undesirable byproducts of the aerobic life.
