Unfortunately I have been battling some fungal disease on my 1701 Jutras plant. The base of the leaves got a vertical split & then a yellowish orange color appeared. The color extends down into the vine . This pic shows the distal main vine which I had cut into 2 days ago & then painted with a Daconil-Captan mixture. I wasn’t sure if I had gotten all of it. So today I made another slice into the main vine on the right & if you look closely you can see a yellow spot representing disease. So I terminated the main vine another foot closer to the stump where it looks clean. It is sad to have to do this but hopefully this will save the rest of the plant & the squash. This is despite following a fungicide/insecticide program religiously.
