Finally started to start some seeds today. For myself I have 3 1109's soaking and one 2118 Justras. For my company annual giant competition I am soaking 25 pumpkin seeds, 25 watermelon seeds, 45 giant bell pepper seeds and 45 giant tomato seeds. With how fast my plants were claimed last year, I am convinced that a high percentage of hobby growers would attempt the giants if the genetics were easier to obtain. Weird Wint, I am not planning on starting 4000 seeds, I wanted to harvest 4000 seeds. That number has gone up. I would like to harvest 10,000 seeds this summer. About 1/2 of my garden will be devoted to seed production not growing for top weight. I think I have one of the most diverse collections of giant tomato genetics...hoping in 2019 to put those genetics into the hands of average joe hobby grower.
