Qtip sent me a picture of his WR carrot at day 40. It appears that it was an upright foliage carrot. My indoor carrot is an upright but at day 60 it is about even to his day 40. I think I can make up ground. It is in Royal Gold Tupur media. This media is mixed for heavy feeding. I am giving it a lot of organic liquid nutrients with gallons of bacterial/fungal compost tea. The advantage of tupur...excess water drains to waste maintaining oxygen levels. Hoping that the heavy feeding helps and also that I can avoid flowering. Qtips flowered first season. Not a lot info out there for npk ratio's for giant carrots. Will have to wing it. No matter the result, I am having fun, that is the reason to grow.
